DOST-FPRDI maintains its ISO 9001:2015 Certification Philippine | 10/09/2024

The DOST- Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI) passed the re-certification audit and maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification. Conducted by the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines Inc., the re-assessment was held on 02 May 2024 and participated in by the DOST-FPRDI management and staff. The Certificate of Registration to ISO 9001:2015 was awarded last 04 July 2024.

“DOST-FPRDI’s re-certification only shows the Institute’s commitment to continuously and effectively improve its processes and service delivery. We are thankful for the effort of all those who collectively worked to make DOST-FPRDI an ISO-accredited organization once more,” said DOST-FPRDI OIC Director Rico J. Cabangon.

The DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum, Jr. lauded the Institute for maintaining its ISO 9001:2015 Certification. “DOST-FPRDI’s adherence to a systemic approach in enhancing its operations is commendable. At DOST, we believe in the importance of continuous improvement through regular review and refinement of processes and getting an ISO 9001 certification is one way to do that.”

ISO 9001 is an international standard system that organizations use to show their ability to “consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.” The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective use and improvement of the system. ### (Apple Jean M. de Leon,2024).
